Mentorship Programs
T.Y.P.E.A.'s Mentorship Program is a partnership in career exploration. It gives fourth year university students and young professionals the chance to investigate careers with senior, more experience professionals who are willing to share their own experiences. Also mentors are encouraged to show their mentees what other opportunities and careers paths are available. In turn, mentors gain insight into the new wave into the work force, learning what the latest generation are looking for in a career and employer and make an impact on the future on the future labour force.
Last year, T.Y.P.E.A. was proud to offer this program for the first time, and this year, we expect the program to be even better! The formal mentorship relationship starts in January and ends in May. In January, T.Y.P.E.A. will hold a group orientation for both mentees and mentors so everyone can learn the details on their roles and responsibilities, and network. Seminars, such as last year's Mentorship Seminar and Dress for Success, run in between and help mentees build essential networking and self-marketing skills. In May we will end the program with a closing ceremony to reflect on the mentorship experience, share successes, and celebrate.
We will start accepting applications in December, so be sure to look out for the application forms to participate in this great career development opportunity!
